Tom Popp
Honor Flight Tri-State COO
Tom Popp in an entrepreneur and businessman. Tom has owned an Electrical Contracting firm, an Indoor Soccer Facility, a Tobacco farm, a leasing company, and a travel agency, Tom was the co-owner and President of Thomas Popp and Co., Electrical Contractors for thirty years (retired) and he was the founder of Integrated Electrical Services (IES), a national electrical conglomerate. Tom has been the national legislative chair of The Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) for many years and has held other national offices.
Over the years, Tom was Co-Chair and Airboss for the Blue Ash Airport Days and Lunken Airport Days. A plane owner and pilot, himself, he volunteered and flew numerous Angel Flights. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), International Council of Air Shows (ICAS), Cincinnati Warbirds (CWB), Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Warbirds of America (WBA), National Rifle Association (NRA) and FBI Citizens Academy Alumni.
Tom has been a part of Honor Flight Tri-State since 2005 as a Guardian, as the flight coordinator, is a past board member and now the COO since 2019. Tom has been on over 81 Honor Flights.
Tom has two grown daughters, five grandchildren, one great grandson and resides in Symmes Township with his wife Cheryl.
Ty Hogan
Timothy ( Ty ) Hogan joined the Honor Flight Tri-state board in 2017. Ty Currently is a Multi-Strategy Portfolio Manager for Ft. Washington Investment Advisors.
Prior to joining Ft. Washington, Ty served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed to six countries as an Intelligence Officer and Special-Operation’s Reconnaissance Platoon Commander, leading over 120 Marines. Prior to joining the Marine Corps., he worked for Banc of America Securities in New York as an Analyst and Equity Trader then at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (NY) as an Associate and Institutional ETF Trader.
Ty has a Masters in Economic and a BS in Business Administration from Fordham University where he lettered in football for 4 years. He earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. Also, in 2006 he received the Danowski Award for outstanding leadership.
He is a Cincinnati native and currently lives in Walnut Hills.
Cheryl Popp
Chairman of the Board & Flight Director
Cheryl Joined Honor Flight in 2005 as a guardian to honor her father, a World War ll veteran. Her tireless efforts as a volunteer quickly evolved into a board position in 2008.
Her expertise in fundraising, speaking, recruiting and media relations increased awareness throughout the region and has made Honor Flight available to many more veterans.
As a private pilot, her interest in aviation has led to producing the "Blue Ash Airshow" for 13 years and also being chairman of Lunken Airport Days and has memberships in the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. (EAA), International Council of Airshows (ICAS), Warbirds of America, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and the Cincinnati Warbirds, Tri State Warbird Museum and supporter of the US Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio. She is interested in Horticulture and has taught Floral Design and does freelance floral design for special events.
She was the former magazine designer for Cincinnati Magazine, and she was the long-time president of the Calumet Farm HOA. Cheryl was voted "The Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year" in 2019.
Cheryl attended the University of Cincinnati. She is the co-author of two books: "Legacy of Courage: True Stories of Honor Flight Veterans and “Legacy of Courage ll: More stories of Honor Flight Veterans. She has been the flight director for over 79 Honor Flight Missions from CVG.
She lives in Cincinnati with her husband, Tom, and they have two daughters and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Liz Keating
I was introduced to Honor Flight through my father (Bill Keating, Jr.), who first got involved with the organization as a guardian in 2014. Having the opportunity to volunteer with Honor Flight and help with social media on the flights is a small way to show my gratitude to those who have put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms I enjoy every day.
I am the Marketing Director of the Jim Stengel Company. Previously, I was the Engagement Specialist for UC Health where I co-chaired the social media strategy for the health system.
As a native Cincinnatian, I attended St. Ursula Academy and received my degree at UCLA in International Relations, where I competed on the swim team for four years and served as captain of the team my senior year.

As a social media and marketing professional, I will continue to use my expertise to build awareness to recruit veterans, guardians and volunteers to the Honor Flight program. Through social media, we can capture the honor flights and share the experience with the families and friends of veterans, as well as share the stories of sacrifice and valor to the younger generations.

Todd Cain
Todd joined the Honor Flight Tri-state board in 2017. Todd will soon join Sharfax as their CEO . Previously, Todd served as CEO of Emery Federal Credit Union and CEO of Members Trust Federal Credit Union.
Todd has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
He currently lives in Southern Lebanon, OH with his wife and two daughters.
